Limoon – Free Online Radio & Live TV Streaming

Limoon is a free, browser-based streaming platform that brings together live radio stations and TV channels from Spain and beyond. No sign-ups, no subscriptions, just click and play.

The result is a lean, dark-themed single-page application that streams audio and video content through a clean, distraction-free interface.

The Challenge

Building a streaming aggregator comes with its own set of technical and UX challenges:

• Audio/video streaming, the core functionality is playing live streams reliably across different browsers and devices
• Zero-friction experience, visitors want to start listening immediately, not create accounts or fill out forms
• Multi-content types, radio stations, TV channels, podcasts, and schedules each need their own presentation while feeling like part of one product
• Dark, energetic design, the interface needed to feel modern and lively, fitting for a music and entertainment platform
• Performance on all devices, streaming is resource-intensive; the UI had to stay snappy even on lower-end devices

Design Philosophy

Limoon’s identity is built around the lemon, fresh, zesty, and energetic. The design reflects this:

• Dark theme with a deep navy background that makes content pop and reduces eye strain during extended listening
• Yellow-green accent, a vibrant lime color that echoes the lemon branding and provides high-contrast CTAs
• Clean player UI, playback controls are minimal and always accessible; the player doesn’t overwhelm the content
• Card-based station grid, each station or channel is presented as a visual card with artwork, making browsing feel tactile
• Responsive layout, works seamlessly from desktop to mobile, with the player adapting to screen size
• Gradient accents, subtle gradients add depth without distracting from the primary content

Technical Implementation

Built with a focus on streaming performance and a lean front-end:
